Document type, whether it's in person or a remote online notarization, how urgent it is, and the preferred date and time. Plus a short description of the document.

Notaries see open requests matching the city or ZIP they serve, along with remote jobs. Claiming a job moves it from Open to Accepted.

Using the document description, the check flags what's commonly missing for that document type — blank date fields, missing witness lines, no notarial certificate wording — so both sides know beforehand.

Marking a job Completed fingerprints the record — document type, date, parties, notary — and timestamps it. The fingerprint can never be edited afterwards, so it proves what was notarized and when.

A journal entry in the notary’s own state format is drafted from the request details — required by law in South Carolina and other journal states. The notary reviews, edits anything, and confirms it. Nothing is filed automatically.
